Welcome to Whispering Winds Mountain Retreat. After 30 years in Pharmaceutical Sales, Dave made the decision to retire. The Cherry's decided at that time that the hectic pace of Atlanta was more than they wanted to subject themselves to, and started looking for some quiet and secluded property in the North Georgia Mountains. It was there, in Ellijay, GA. that they heard the mountains calling their names. They purchased 60 plus acres, along with four cabins and Whispering Winds Mountain Retreat was born. They moved into one of the cabins, enabling them to manage their vacation rentals with a hands-on approach.

The Cherry's take great pride in their cabins, always striving to provide their guests with a most unique mountain experience. They would be honored to accommodate you and your families or guests, offering you a visit that they hope will surpass any previous stay you have had in the mountains.
